Under the direction of the Manager or designee, provides leadership and technical expertise, coordinates workflow, manages staff scheduling and performs training and quality activities. Ensures that testing is completed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies and procedures. Perform the essential functions of the Technologist.
Shift: This full-time position will work Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotating Sundays and holiday coverage.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in a biological science or related field from an accredited college or university. Three (3) or more years in a clinical laboratory, preferably blood banking, environment or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience. Two (2) years’ experience in a OneBlood laboratory
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS:
In Florida, a valid and current Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license in Immunohematology or Blood Banking; supervisor license preferred. In certain specialty laboratories other Florida licenses may be required. If working in a state without laboratory personnel licensure requirements, must meet current CLIA requirements for high complexity testing

Ability to periodically perform moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment. Tasks may involve some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling or prolonged sitting or standing.
