Overview

Work independently and as a team with variable data and operate high speed copiers, large format printers and bindery equipment to meet strict deadlines to fulfill print shop production needs.

Responsibilities

The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the duties and responsibilities performed within this classification.   • Coordinates multiple projects, including, but not limited to, producing mass amounts of poster-packs per week and mailing large quantities of postcards per month while facilitating project communications with minimal supervision
  • Generates and manipulates databases for variable data production
  • Utilizing layout software, finalizes data merges for printing and digital distribution
  • Binds, laminates and mounts marketing tools (e.g. booklets, brochures, posters and banners)
  • Prints, formats, packages and ships requests and other marketing collateral, including weekly blood drive promotional materials
  • Maintains strict accuracy standards by reviewing both requests and product, identifying and correcting errors
  • Communicates directly with various departments and team members when questions or issues arise
  • Processes direct mail, including database optimization using Pitney Bowes SmartMailer, print and package, keeping up to date with current USPS requirements and regulations
  • Keeps detailed records of produced pieces and maintains internal shipping lists.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years of print production experience or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS:

None

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Skilled at producing high quality work with minimum supervision
  • Adhering to high quality standards and following strict, sometimes competing deadlines
  • Previous experience in print production environment
  • Basic layout ability, some Adobe InDesign preferre
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships, principally with Marketing and Recruitment teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to learn new technology and production methods
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Functions involve the ability to exert light physical effort usually involving some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds). May involve some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking or standing.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. 

 

Functions are regularly performed inside without potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
