Overview

Provides leadership to assigned staff ensuring workflow is organized and employees understand their duties. Monitors employee productivity; coordinates, develops, delivers and supervises all training for Biologics. Sets goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicates them to subordinates.

Responsibilities

  • Assists management team to meet and/or exceed organizational goals as they pertain to learning and development
  • Provides leadership to assigned staff; hires, provides ongoing development and conducts annual reviews
  • Responsible for assigned Biologics training service to include identification of training needs, training scheduling and management of instructor led training resources
  • Actively participates in the design of new or revised curriculum, creation of training modules, and written or direct observation assessment
  • Delivers the departmental Technical Training Curriculum in accordance with all regulations, GXP’s (GMP, GLP, GCP and GTP) and departmental and organizational procedures and policies
  • Monitors, updates, and completes training documentation on all assigned trainees and provides feedback and progress notes to Manager of Instructor-Led Training
  • Assists with the execution of staff competencies, SOP changes, audits and retraining
  • Manages assigned training projects and partners with OneBlood stakeholders as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school and two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS:

None

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to speak effectively, present information and respond to questions from groups of trainers, managers, customers, and employees
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to delegate and supervise effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities as dictated by the Manager of Instructor-Led Training
  • Knowledge of and ability to read technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Ability to organize work for timely completion
  • Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Skill in operating office equipment
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Ability to commute with personal transportation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds).

Functions are regularly performed inside with potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, atmospheric elements and pathogenic substances.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
